We are seeking volunteers to serve on a committee that works alongside town staff to make Wallingford more resilient to natural hazards and climate change impacts, including supporting day-to-day community needs to build a stronger, healthier community. We are especially interested in those who have experienced weather-related emergencies and/or contributed to recovery efforts. We are also looking for people with strong ties to the community, including full-time residents, renters, and homeowners in East Wallingford and South Wallingford. All are encouraged to volunteer, as you will contribute critical perspectives and lived experiences to the conversation.
Volunteer responsibilities will include participating in regular meetings (1-2 meetings/month) and organizing community engagement activities for the local hazard mitigation plan. This project will run between May and October.
