Applications are open for the Municipal Climate Planning Pilot Program! The program, which will provide technical support to municipalities throughout the pilot, aims to assist Vermont cities and towns in taking climate action using the newly developed Municipal Climate Planning Guides. In doing so, we will evaluate the effectiveness of the guides and make necessary adjustments to ensure they reflect on-the-ground experiences and the real-world contexts municipalities face.
The application for the pilot program can be found at https://forms.gle/VcYxWnLfaciLiGPT6. The Climate Action Office is reviewing applications on a rolling basis, but to be considered, please apply no later than December 31st. The Office plans to make selections and kick off the program in January 2026.
There is an upcoming public meeting about the program on December 16 at 12 PM, which is a great way to see if the pilot would be a good fit for your upcoming work. Register for the meeting by visiting https://zoom.us/meeting/register/3l8KLo6eSia9XC5ny6DpoA#/registration.
