Shrewsbury, VT

Shrewsbury feels like it’s on top of the world. The elevation is only 1,762 feet but somehow feels a world away. Nestled into this special little place are treasures like Pierce’s Store and the Brown Bridge, which has the same designation as the Brooklyn Bridge. A new generation of local farms are sprouting in Shrewsbury's hills with growing success, along with an array of unique business, like a racehorse rescue farm. One interesting thing about Shrewsbury is that they don’t have a zip code. Shrewsberries (yes, that’s what they call themselves) use the Cuttingsville zip code even though Cuttingsville is actually an unincorporated village within the town.
