Mount Holly is a mountain town often boasting the deepest snow depth from fall 'till the flowers pop. Okemo Mountain straddles Mount Holly and its neighbor to the east, Ludlow, with the peak in the Mount Holly side. There are four hamlets in Mount Holly and one of them, Belmont, is a designated Village Center. Belmont is also the hometown of Olympic gold medalist, Hannah Teter.
